Chapter One _ Moxley

I have been working on the genealogy of my branch of the Moxley family. As of April 21, 2019 I have traced back to 1555 to Richard Moxley, and have created a family tree on Ancestry that includes 1900 family members.  You can download a pdf of this work from either the  InternetArchive.com link below, or from the Download File button below that.

Chapter One _ Sherman

Once the Moxley side narrative was delivered I started work on the Sherman side. There wasn't as much information about that line as there was with the Moxley side, but the research did turn up some interesting facts. Once again, you can download a pdf of this work from either InternetArchive.com link below, or from the Download File button below that.

Boulotchnik_Blocklyn_Breeden_Williams

I'm a glutton for punishment! After I stopped work on my side of the family, it was time to research Philip's family. His father, Maurice Blocklyn, was born in Paris to Russian emigrants. Actually, they were Ukrainian immigrants who emigrated to Paris after Russia annexed the Ukraine and pogroms aimed at the killing of Jews began in the area. Philip's mother, Dorothy Breeden Blocklyn, had a family that included many important American settlers who fought for and tamed Virginia soil. I want to give a lot of credit to my mother-in-law, the ultimate family record keeper, who organized and documented their history. Her records headed me down the right path on Ancestry.com so that I could further her research. The Bibliography for these two documents is in a separate file, also with links below.
